From policy bound to insurer paid.

Every event in your policy system and every payment you receive becomes a balanced accounting entry within seconds. ABO's team and agents take it from there.

  1. A policy is bound.

Your policy system sends the event. ABO splits the premium into insurer money, insurance premium tax and commission for every party in the chain.

Policy passport for CL-2026-004821: £1,456.00 billed including £156.00 premium tax, £134.40 collected, the premium split with £260.00 commission, the actions available next and the instalment schedule.
  2. Money comes in.

Card payments at checkout and direct debit instalments are matched to the right policy automatically. Failed collections are retried on schedule.

Money in for Harbourline Marine Ltd, November 2026: £1,321.60 scheduled across nine collections, one unpaid instalment of £67.20, collections by week, the largest arrears and card settlements matched to policies.
  3. Anything unusual is raised, not hidden.

A payment that doesn't match goes to an exception with options and their accounting effect, ready for a person to decide.

Exception for a returned instalment of £67.20 on policy CL-2026-004902, showing what happened, what was tried, why it stopped, and a write-off option with its accounting entries awaiting a second person's sign-off.
  4. Month-end settles itself.

Insurer statements and bordereaux are produced from the same ledger as your accounts, commission is drawn, and client money returns to zero in every currency.

Statements for October 2026 by counterparty, all settled, with £680.00 paid to insurers in EUR and £1,694.72 in GBP, and a CSV for each statement.
  5. Your GL gets clean journals.

One summarised journal per legal entity, by account, currency, insurer and binder, posted to your GL as a draft for your team to approve.

The ledger

Double-entry and append-only. Nothing is overwritten or deleted; a correction is a new entry that says what it corrects.

The agents

AI agents do the volume work through a fixed set of actions, each with limits on what and how much they can do.

The people

Insurance accountants review exceptions and approve anything outside the limits. Larger decisions need two people.

Payments come in however you collect them. Clean journals go out to the GL you already use.
